Governments around the world regularly struggle to implement their policies. Developing a policy is the start of the process, this makes a good headline, but the headline comes back to haunt you when the policy fails in implementation.

The successful implementation of a policy comes from translating the idea into a project or series of projects that delivers the desired outcome. This must start with proper stakeholder analysis to identify groups in favour and against the change. We use multiple stakeholder success mapping to build a picture of success, to communicate specific actions both inside the project and in the political space surrounding the project. We develop theories of change to plot paths to success and we design mindful reviews to guide progress and facilitate learning.

The training and consulting we undertook in Jordan was designed to build capacity through equipping civil servants with the skills to plan successful projects, manage change, measure progress and deliver the outcomes and benefits required.

In May, Mike continued his work in Jordan ,  working on a project designed to support the Jordanian government to deliver their policies and priorities.  He met The State Minister for Institutional  Performance Development, Yasera Ghousheh, during a high level brainstorming session and appeared on Roya TV.
